Making Circle est une sculpture performative et une installation sonore qui se déploie dans l’espace naturel. Des microphones y captent le vent, les sons ambiants, les présences non humaines, et le son du dessin, celui d'un cercle au charbon composant une matière sonore.
Selon un principe entropique, l’œuvre accueille l’imprévisibilité du vivant, une composition en perpétuelle évolution, où chaque itération du cercle accroît le degré de dispersion, de décomposition et de transformaton, écho à l’éternel retour. Making Circle capte le monde qui l’entoure et le rejoue jusqu'à épuisement du geste dans une boucle où rien ne se répète jamais tout à fait.

Making Circle is a performative sculpture and sound installation set within a natural environment. Microphones capture the wind, ambient sounds, non-human presences, and the sound of drawing itself — that of a charcoal circle composing a sonic material.
Following an entropic principle, the work embraces the unpredictability of the living — a composition in perpetual evolution, where each iteration of the circle increases the degree of dispersion, decomposition, and transformation, echoing the eternal return.
Making Circle captures the surrounding world and plays it back until the gesture is exhausted, in a loop where nothing ever repeats exactly the same way.
