À l’origine était un dispositif microphonique destiné à un concert de croisière.
Nous allions nous retrouver à huis-clos pour un temps indéterminé, à remonter le canal de l’Ourq.
Les instruments que nous avions sélectionnés pour notre duo musical avec Gaël Angelis - Carbon Sink - consistaient en une suite d’objets bigarrés dénichés de-ci de-là; un coquillage, une planchette de bois ornementée de vis, un miroir, un bout de polystyrène.
Des micros étaient également posés sur le moteur du navire, pour donner à entendre le ronronnement et le chant de la bête mécanique qui nous transportait.
Les instruments et la musique de ce rituel à huis-clos sont ré-activés, suspendus, flottants les uns aux dessus des autres.

L'improvisation à huis clos se déroule sur un bateau. Parallèlement un corps est repêché dans le canal. L'événement hors-champs devient aussi un élément de notre captation environnementale.

Originally was a microphone device intended for a cruise concert.
We were going to go behind closed doors for an indefinite time, to go up the Ourq canal.
The instruments we selected for our musical duet with Gaël Angelis - Carbon Sink - consisted of a series of variegated objects unearthed here and there; a shell, a wooden board with screws, a mirror, a piece of polystyrene.
Microphones were also placed on the motor of the ship, to hear purring and singing the mechanical beast that transported us.
The instruments and the music of this closed-door ritual are re-activated, suspended, floating one above the other.

The musical mprovisation takes place behind closed doors, on a boat. In parallel, a body is fished in the canal. The off-field event also becomes part of our environmental capture.
